Northwest Pass towards Big Osmosis

Northwest Pass was a powerful metaphor describing "The "Cisma" in The Western Wisdomscape" also approached by Snow in "The Two Cultures", later in "The Third Culture", Consilience, and all the activities in Complexity, Transdisciplinarity (for ex., "Integrated and Implemented sciences), Social and Popular Actions, etc...

Imagine two tobogams interconnected, you are descending along one of them, and from the lowest point you continue inertialy going up along the other tobogam. It is a "Double Tobogam". It is an autopoyetic system that feed and feed-back alternatively. As the Primal Milk Feeding Process in mammals with both elements of the system participating in the autopyetic system. More sucks the baby, more milk is produced, as feed-back, by the mother.

In our case the pair of elements participating are two historical situations on northern regions, which we could call as: glacial and interglacial.

In glacial times, certain territories function as bridges, and other function as barriers.

In interglacial times, certain territories function as bridges, and other function as barriers.

It is a simple dual model. As the trafic light and many more multiple examples everywhere.

It would be considered that "the consciuosness" of a certain people or culture is following the same process too. This Global Consciousness (as referred to Humandkind in our actual Global World) have been reconstructing from the samples of "detached pieces" corresponding to the different ways each people or culture, had been "constructed" or "modeled", acording to their own social, political, historical circumstances.

The World Was a Great "Jarapa". Many countries, peoples and cultures evolving in different ways, that encounter themselves nowadays throughout a great variety of cultural bridges, whose overall consideration we call: "The Big Osmosis".

From musical(-cultural) fussions to Internet and Web 2.0; from massive intermigrations to Global Transcultural Enrichment (almost formaly "invisible"); from "Science With People" to University Implosion; from "Writen" to Actual, Participatory Democracy (for ex., "ProActive Citizen Partipation").

Very curiously, Academy is in the "avantgarde", but also in the "rearguard" of culture and society. Autopoyesis processes in Academy are sometimes of slow speed. The Advances in Knowledge wich we observe in Academy are one of our "Double Tobogams". The other is the Bureaucratic Resilience, that nowadays function as a "Tensor" slowing the necesary speed that Academy must reach, to travel to better efficiency levels in our Knowledge Society.

In certain aspects Academy sume up the best of our society. In other aspects, Academy Seems A Babelian Giant Army Where A Minimum Overall Consensus Would Impossible To Reach, In Order To Win "The Last Battle".
